Registering Mathematica 3.0 trial
To be able to create notebook files in the trial version of Mathematica you will need to register with Wolfram Research. However, you can view the sample notebooks without registering by clicking on the MathReader button in the register dialogue box that appears when you run the Mathematica trial software.
To obtain a password to unlock the trial for 30 days (so you can create and edit but not save notebook files) you will need to contact Wolfram Research stating your MathID (which is unique to your Mac and is displayed in the register dialogue box when you run the Mathematica trial software), License Number: L4551-3346 and quote MacFormat as the source of the trial software.
Contact details for Wolfram Research are included in the README file that's installed in the Registration folder with the Mathematica 3.0 trial. E-mail is the preferred method of registration.
